April 4/2023 Wendy: Every Witch Way

So, I saw some random video about the best games for the Game Boy Color, and Wendy got brought up. Upon firing it up, I discovered that it might actually be the inspiration for VVVVVV – it’s an adorable little 2d platformer with a gravity reversal mechanic that lets you hang from the ceiling. I’m not someone who generally likes the aesthetic of Game Boy games, but this one was super bright and colorful, fun music, and really tight controls. Apparently the original cartridge is just out of control price wise, but if you can track it down in other forms, this is an easy recommendation.
